2008 US Open at Torrey Pines
I worked at the 2008 U.S. Open golf tournament for ESPN Sportscenter from June 9-16, 2008. My main camera was located at the far end of the driving range shooting back toward the golfers. Fortunately, I was about 300 yards down the range and 30 feet up the air on what is called a "SpiderLift" or "SpiderCam". I only took one golf ball on the railing of my lift over the length of the tournament. I also got to do some creative things on the practice putting green for the ESPN Sportscenter shows at night. The last 3 pictures are on the 12th hole of the 18 hole play-off on Monday between Tiger Woods and Rocco Mediate.
